Lateral distributor or collector consists of branches and a header pipe or a hub and leads to provide an excellent collection or distribution of gas or liquid within treatment bed. It can be located on top of vessel attached to inlet nozzle to distribute incoming flow entirely across the bed or near the vessel bottom to collect treated flow and to pass it though side wall or to be located on outlet nozzle to pass treated flow out of the vessel. Header size,quantity and size of branches will be designed for each process based on flow rate, velocity and bed size.
